Stages Level

Regular Stages

Regular stages are designed for avid cyclists who love to ride every cm of the loop. They are long and on many different kind of terrains. Sometimes specific sections of the route need good sense of orientation and love for maps. E-bikes strongly recommended for occasional cyclists.

Shorter Variants

Shorter variants are designed for more casual cyclists and families and combine bike and train and the easiest terrain when possible. If trains allow us we like to design two shorter versions: one slightly longer for those wh owould like to challenge themselves and one much shorter for those who want to play it safe.

Road Bike Stages

Road Bike stage are designed specifically for racing bikes so are normally long as the regular stages or more and they follow small back roads with good asphalt as much as possible. Easy gravel or patched asphalt sections are present from time to time when unavoidable but for real short distances.

Tomorrow stage to Kromeriz is quite short and flatter than normal so today you can dare more. Otherwise, if you are tired, you will be happy to know that shorter stages today are mostly flat or downhill!

For sure the castle deserves a visit.

The rest of the ride is on minor roads switching between many smaller local cycling routes (a nice sights is the hunting manor in Namest na Hane) all the way to Olomouc, where a lot of great sights await.

Today you will ride to Olomouc.  You will make todays ride shorter by taking the train from Česká Třebová sso your first task is to ride to the train station there. It is easy, you just leave Litomysl square behind you and follow the cycling route 4219 before and 4047 later all the way to the station. Here is the MAP and the TRAIN to Zábřeh.

Once in Zábřeh you will start cycling on the Moravian Cycling route number 4 which will keep you company all day.

If you are into caves you can stop at Mladec Caves which are located about 30 km from the start.

Some more riding through the country side will get you to the biggest highligt of the day, the town of Litovel. Here it is worth stopping and going through the main square and the church of St. Mark. We also recommend a good coffee shop here, or lunch.

Later on, your trip will continue through a very nice natural and green landscape called Litovelske Podmoravi almost all the way to Olomouc, where a lot of great sights await.
